About me…

Hello…

I am a mixed media artist focusing on two main avenues of work; water colours and oils.

Inspired by Johns, Lichtenstein and Rauschenberg a large part of my oil work is centred around pop paintings that don’t take life too seriously. Along side my pop paintings are my landscapes of the Cornish Coast which I have painted extensively over the years.

With water colours I create sports prints and maps of all my favourite places focusing on memories; the places they were created… pubs, restaurants, stadiums, villages, beaches, and holidays.

I am also very honoured and humbled to work on bespoke maps and home portraits for my clients.

Capturing my originals…

My printer's camera is a large-format Toyo camera combined with the latest scan back which has up to 1248 MPixels resolution and it captures every pixel in three colours using complex algorithms to develop the raw image. This maintains the subtle variations of colour, tone gradations, brush strokes and the finest details of my original works.

Printing, Prints…

My printers then use their specialist large format Canon Giclée printers with the finest archival inks to print onto 330gsm 100% cotton watercolour papers made by St Cuthbert’s Mill in Somerset, England.

Silkscreen Varnish - Prints of my Oil Paintings then receive a varnish that lifts and adds contrast, mid to dark areas in particular will appear much richer and fuller.

Each Print is then hand signed and numbered.
